By virtue of Law No. 78/2015 of 29 July, media transparency is one of ERC’s activities. It consists of governing the promotion of transparency as regards the ownership, management and means of financing of entities carrying out media activities.
On the Transparency Portal, ERC makes publicly available the following information: owners of entities carrying out media activities, corporate structures, holders of qualifying holdings (equal to or greater than 5 % of the share capital), governing bodies, financial flows, and persons responsible for editorial orientation. These elements are directly reported to ERC by covered entities on the Transparency Digital Platform.
